Is La Mer Translucent Powder any good?

First off, I have very dry skin and am in search of a great translucent powder that will glide on smoothly, not cakey. I have been hearing so many raves about how great this powder is especially for dry skin. It's pretty pricey, but I am willing to fork up the extra money for something that will work. I have tried many many brands, drug store brands do NOT work for me neither does MAC as far as powders. I would like feedback from people who have actually tried this powder themselves (preferably someone who has dry skin as well) but all who have tried it are welcome to reply. Please give detailed feedback. Would really appreciate it, thanks!!
